The preparation of am- monia-free water, however, needs a lot of time, la or and money, so ammonia-free water is not suita le for the determ-i nation of lots of samples. They use deionized water instead of ammonia-free water in the determination of ammonium and find that standard curve, accuracy and preciseness all meet the needs. The results indicate that this method saves time and la or and also is suita le for ulk determination, thereupon has practical value.
