This paper focuses on the latest development of MTO technology from the aspects of process and catalyst are reviewed, analyzed the technology and economy, the results show that the MTO technology is feasible, economic, the lower the price of natural gas more competitive, such as natural gas price of $1 / million Btu, competitiveness the larger, and finally gives some suggestions on the development of MTO technology. Key words: natural gas methanol olefin MTO Olefin as the basic organic chemical raw materials, has a very important role in modern petroleum and chemical industry.
