What do you think leads to these situations?

Step 3: Words and expressions
Read the new words and expressions after the tape. Make sure everyone can pronounce them correctly.
Word-study;
1).lend v 借出
lend是借出去(借给他人,用lend sth to sb. 表示), borrow是借进来(从他人那里借某东西为己方所用,用borrow sth. from sb.表示). eg.1.I lent him a pen.==I lent a pen to him.

3) figure out
A.calculate;work out;estimate?计算(出);估计
It would be difficult to figure out the losses at this time.
目前很难对损失作出估计。
