H NMR C NMR . :2--4-;α-;;Tsuji-Trost ;; :O621.3 :A A one-pot entry to 2-aryl-4-pentenoates BAI Yihui, DU Jinyan (College of Chemistry and Life Sciences ,Zhejiang Normal University ,Jinhua Zhejiang 321004,China) Abstract:A one-pot synthesis of 2-aryl-4-pentenoates was realized by the Pd-catalyzed coupling of α-aryl N- acetylbenzotriazoles with allyl ethyl carbonate,followed by esterification reaction in alcohol solvents,produced yields up to 85%.The effects of catalyst,ligand and solvent on the yield were investigated.The optimum re- action conditions were determined and the possible mechanism was proposed.The products were identified by 1 13 H NMR and C NMR.The present methodology provided several advantages such as mild reaction condition, excellent yield and environmental friendliness.
