Besides ,the research foreground of solventborne acrylic resins , such as high solid acrylic resins ,the series of SAC and silanemodified acrylic resins was discussed . Effects of the group transfer polymerization and the nanometer technologies on performances of solventborne acrylic resins were also introduced . Then applications of solventborne acrylic resins in the area of coatings are summarized ,and an anticipation of future trends about the products with low pollution ,high performances in the field of solventborne acrylic resins was given .
