Institute of Service Engineering, Hangzhou Normal University, Hangzhou, 310012 Abstract:The traditional shadow play culture is the treasure of Chinese folk art, which brings together sculpture, painting, drama, music, performances and other arts as a whole and it was the spiritual food for the majority of people once. However, the current survey shows that traditional shadow play culture is on the verge of extinction. So to protect and uphold the cultural heritage of traditional shadow play, many researchers combine the shadow play with the current computer technology, inherit the shadow charming artistry, and create the possibility of live shadow protection-digital shadow play. From the perspective of the protection and heritage of traditional shadow play culture, using Kinect and color shadow play control rods, we control the digital shadow play as well as the traditional shadow play interaction, and analyze the key technologies from both the input of the interaction and the output of digital shadow play’s actions. First of all, according to the characteristics of the Kinect depth map and control rods’ moving, the regions for the control rods are segmented as a mask basis for detecting the head positions of the rods in one frame. In advance, using the Na?ve Bayesian method, the colors of the marks of the control rods are trained, to obtain a corresponding color category table.
