Step 1 Lead in
Task I: In china, we have two idioms“人定胜天”and“天人合一”. Ask the students to discuss with each other and then to express their understanding of the two idioms.
“人定胜天”Nature is considered as the enemy of man. They stand two opposite sides.
“天人合一” Nature and man are in the same family—the earth. We should live in harmony with each other.
Step 2 Pre-reading
