Rapid amplification of cDNA end ( RACE) were u ed for amplifying 5! end and 3! end equence of SWS Op sin gene of Myot is ricketti . The re ult how that the gene contain 1 050 bp in the coding region, encode 350 amino acid , and lack premature top codon . In compari on with other mammal , the functionally important eventran membrane region of the SWS Op sin gene are highly con erved, ugge ting that it i a functional gene; and the key functional ite are 52 T , 86 F, 93 T, 114 A and 118 S, re pectively, implying that the SWS Op sin of M . ricketti i en itive to the ultraviolet ( UV) light.
