School of Information Science Engineering, Northeast University, Shenyang 110003, China ) Abstract Based on the analysis of the merit and flaw of traditional methods such as direct optical method, varying focal length method and Radial Alignment Constraint (RAC) method, two kinds of improved optical center determination methods were put forward and discussed in detail. They were improved RAC method and project matrix decomposition method with constraint. The optical center obtained from two improved methods, direct optical method and being substituted by image center were all applied into camera’s calibration and 3D measurement.
