Due to its easy operation and rapid effi- ciency , this method is becoming non- replaceable, especially for the remediat ion of no n- po int polluted ar able soils. N atural mater ials and industrial by-products w ith hig h capacit y of entr apping and fastening heavy metals, e. g. , phosphor ite, peat, lime, and or ganic fertilizers, can be obtained and employed, and the immobilizat ion efficiency of these amendments as w ell as the env ironmental risk of the ionic leaching , releasing, and biolog ical tox icity of heavy metals could be ev aluated in labo rato ry and field. n this paper, the resour ces and ty pes of the amendments were classified, and the possible immobi
