Effect of TBC Residual Stresses by Uniform Growth of
TGOandTypical Interface Topography

Abstract: U sing ABAQUS soft by finite element analysis method, the effect of resid al stresses distrib tion
by growth of thermally-growth oxide (T GO) that grow s between TGO and bond coat interface and cone inter-
face topography of bond coat in a TBC system was calc lated. The calc lating res lt shows that the resid al stress
of thermally-growth oxide interface is affected by interface topography nit size and topography distrib tion den-
sity obvio sly. The stress betw een TGO and top ceramic coating interface is greater than the stress betw een TGO
and bond coat interface. Stress concentrates in topography center and reaches the maximal val e. The stress de-
creases w ith the increase of topography q antity.
