Abstraet:An experimentalinvestigationwasconductedtostudytheefficiencyofthermalinsulationofcompositePCMs(phase
changematerials)producedbyvacuum impregnationprocessbetweenpraaffin(PCMs)andflyashparticles.DSC (differential
scanningcalorimeter)hasbeenusedtodeterminethethermalpropertiesoflatentheatofmeltingnadheatcapacityforcomposite
PCMs.Vacuum impregnationpressureof40in’Hg.paraffinmeltingtemperatureof90。C,vacuum timeandimpregnationtimeof
paraffinof30minaretheoptimum conditionofcompositePCM sproductions.Thevaluesof1atentheatofmeltingandheatcapacity
are74.00J/g and l5.726J/g.oC forcompositePCMsthatproducesbytheoptimum conditionin vacuum impregnationprocess.
IncreasingtheamountofcompositePCMsreplacingofrcementinmortarscausesthecompressivestrength.flexuralstrengthand
tensilestrengthreduction.Compressivestrength.flexuralstrengthandtensilestrengthofmortarwithandwithoutcompositePCMs
cna beincreasedbythelongertimeofwatercuringformortarspecimens.Therma1conductivityf ofmortarcementisreducedby
increasingtheamountofcompositePCM swhichreplacedforcementinmortra platecompositions.CompositePCMshavethe
effi ciencyofrthermalenergyinsulationwhenincorporatedintothebuildings.Therefore,thisproperty ofparaffin/flyashcomposites
PCM scanreducetheenergyconsumptionofrtemperaturecontrolinthebuildings.
