Jin-Jao Lin Toko University Abstract This study focuses on the adjustment of the interpellation system of Legislative Yuan. In point of the authorities of Legislative Yuan stipulated by the constitution, Legislative Yuan is undoubtedly equal to the parliament in a democratic nation. Nevertheless, people do have different views about the type of our central government system. Only that for the authority of interpellation which provided by the constitution for Legislation Yuan to interrogate the head of Executive Yuan and other branches of government, most scholars have positive attitudes. For the meaning and objective of the R.O.C. constitution’s design, the authority of interpellation is for the legislative department to supervise the executive department, and to indirectly realize the ideal of giving sovereignty to the public. Although the interpellation system of Legislation Yuan in R.O.C. has been reformed for several times, it has a lot of problems, and is denounced by many people. In the seventh modification of the constitution, the number of legislators was cut down to half. It surely has big impact on Legislative Yuan, and may let legislators put much more emphasis on interpellation authority. We should
