Abstract
With development of Chinese economy, China has attracted a large number of foreign tourists. Chinese food, with deep culture connotation and long history, is famous all over the world .Many foreigners are interested in Chinese food. But, there are some poor translations which give foreigners a bad impression. It is important to translate dish names accurately into English so that foreigners can understand the Chinese dish names and its culture. What’s more, it can promote muti-cultue communication. This thesis main introduces the classification of Chinese dish names, the methods and principle of Chinese dish names translation and some misunderstanding of dish names.
