This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution International License (CC BY). /licenses/by/4.0/ Abstract This study was to examine the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the Revised-posi- tive version of Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. Item discrimination, reliability and validity of the scale were adopted to analyze the data from 6 samples of 1166 including high school students, college students, adults and servicemen. Results shown that discrimination indices of items were good in different samples; Internal consistency reliability coefficient of the scale was 0.80 – 0.89 in samples of col- lege students, adults and servicemen and test-retest reliability coefficient was 0.76 in sample of high school students; exploratory factor analysis indicated that 39.67% - 51.21% of the variance from samples of college students, adults and servicemen, which showed the scale had a good struc- tural validity.
