Inspection items………………………………………………………………………………12 General This workmanship is written according to “GL 2000” Germanischer Lloyd rule, IEC92-401 publication, the People’s Republic of China “Installation workmanship of marine electric equipment” (ZB/TU06003-89) and our shipyard’s traditional workmanship as well as practical conditions. This workmanship is applicable for the installation of general electric equipment. Some special installation workmanships, which are in the scope of radio equipment, navigation equipment and other special equipments, should be in accordance with equipment’s technical documentation. Outfit for equipment According as the shop drawing (Arrangement Plan, Assemble Plan, etc) or material list, shipyard prepares necessary materials to outfit equipment. All electric equipments should have manufactories’ certificates. Those important equipments needing surveyor’s approval must have surveyor’s certificates or marine product’s approval certificates and product’s delivery date must be within its valid using period. To check the model (specification and rated value) of equipments and protective components, which must comply with the drawings, and to inspect the integrity and completeness of equipment. If necessary, to measure the insulation resistance of equipment. To check if the quantity and inner diameter of equipment’s gland box is accordant with the drawings and to fit sealing rubber gasket or metallic gasket.
