Chapter 5 Semantics Objectives The students will learn how to understand meaning in language and enhance their language ability so that they will become better-informed and thus more-qualified English teachers in the near-future. Students will be able to 1) identify and analyze various approaches to meaning, 2) identify and analyze the meaning of words or sentences 3) produce effective and appropriate utterances.
