So we could get further understand of a nation by exchanging our music history and music custom and so on. Reciprocal cultural exchange Since our communication of music face to face, we found that we know a lot of pop stars, rock bands in America, like Beyonce and Backstreet Boys, which could improve that the popular music culture from America swept the world. Just like Coca-Cola and Hollywood. But when i asked about “what Chinese singers or bands do you know”, answers came after a short silence------“No one!”, I feel more amazing than feel sad. Cause nowadays we call the earth “Global Village”. But actually maybe we could export many things which marked “Made in China” but I am sure there is only a little bit of culture, like Bruce lee or Jackie Chan in America; Teresa Teng in Japan. We should notice this asymmetry. Also there was another interesting thing, when we mentioned the Westlife during the talking about bands. What beyond our expectation was that they know nothing about Westlife. But we soon got the answer-------the Westlife is a Irish bands.
