Unit Two Book 8 Cloning: where is it leading us?

Ⅰ、Teaching aims and demands
◆Get some ideas about cloning and the procedure of How Dolly was produced

4、Teaching procedures
Step 1 Warming up
Showing some clone pictures, we can have a introduction of clone and lead into the topic of the material. And make sure the students are clear with the natural clones or man-made clone.
Step 2 Fast –reading
Let the students glance the reading materail quickly and match the paragraph and the topic so that they can have a general idea of the text.
Paragraph 1 A:How the scientists successfully cloned Dolly the sheep.
Paragraph 2 B:Different governments have different attitudes to cloning.
Paragraph 3 C:What is cloning?
Paragraph 4 D : The influence of Dolly the sheep
Paragraph 5 E:The progress of the first successful clone, Dolly the sheep..
Step 3 Deep reading
Give the students enough time to read the text in detail and find out the answer to the excersises, which can help the students comprehend the material more deeply.
