Teaching procedures Step one: Review 1. Have a review on some dialogues and numbers and some important grammars Step two: Vocabulary learning 1.Learn the new words on page 263 from ‘’people’ of page 264 to “luck” Teach some hard words, giving examples if needed 1) Ask some students talking about they parents works, and what kind of work do they like 2) what they want to do if they grew up 2. Guess the meanings of the words in the picture on page 12 Use the questions “what does he do ? \is him a…? 3. Listen and read ( one by one) 4 listen again and repeat (ask students to point it out) 5. listen to the sentences. Look at the picture on page 13 6 deal with procedure B, C and D with tape recorder and check the answers with them. Step three: Do it yourself! A: First, let the students read the words about new words. Then complete the chart on page13. B: Discussion: separate the students into several small groups; four students a group, to discuss what kind of works do you like to? Step four: Practical conversations Models 1 and 2 meet and greet other students Play the tape, explain the dialogue, get them repeat the dialogue and finish the dialogue in exercise C, check the answers with them.
