A Book Report on the Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin I knew Benjamin Franklin when I was young and at that time ,he was an idol in my heart.So great was him that I could not afford to catch up with him.Then I entered the college,and my teacher strongly recommended Franklin to us.He told us if we did not read the ‘Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin’,we would feel regretted after our graduation.So,I was determined to read it. And I first read ‘the Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin’when I was a sophomore and the first sight i saw it , I loved it . In the book, he showed us what his childhood was like and what he came to value as meaningful techniques of self-improvement. In a word, this autobiography showed us the whole legendary life of Franklin and introduced his start of success.What made me laugh was the publication of the autobiography ,which was an interesting story . Franklin actually said some times that he did not want the work to be made public. But some parts of the autobiography were published only a month after Franklins death. And the other parts were published gradually. Before I read the book , I had known that Benjamin Franklin was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. What is more,he is usually believed as the revolutionary figure who led protests against the Stamp Act. Morever,he helped draft the Declaration of Independence and ended the American Revolution.But after I finished reading it,in my heart ,Franklin was an amiable person,though he did not grow up in a quite happy family .And now I will shortly introduce his life.In 1706 he was born in North America and there were 17 children in his family . His Father was involved in wax and soap as a businessman. Franklin entered the school for two years before dropping out of school because his family was quite poor.
