The Fight Against Global Warming Since our society has entered into a new century,at the same time,we human beings also meet with a dilemma.Can we develop economy at the cost of environment?On the one hand,Due to the economic development,it has provided numerous job opportunities,which has also improved living conditions and increases government revenues,However,on the other hand, the present serious environmental problems are largely caused by rapid development of economic.Heavy use of energy to enhance the human material,which caused unexpected disasters,and acid rain damage almost all over the world great plants and so on.Then,let me take global warming for example. What is global warming? Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of Earths near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century and its projected continuation . According to the 2007 Fourth Assessment Report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, global surface temperature increased 0.74?±?0.18?°C (1.33?±?0.32?°F) during the 20th century .In nearly 100 years, the average global temperature goes through four fluctuations: cold, warm, cold again, and warm again. After 1980s, the temperature was ascending obviously. What caused global warming? It is caused by several factors. First,the wide use of coal and fuel,which causes the emission of carbon dioxide,the main gases that lead to greenhouse effect.Second,population explosion is one of the main factors of global warming; it also threatens the balance between man and nature. Third, atmospheric pollution is being on the rise, and it has already become an international major problem. It is also the basic problem of global warming. Forth, marine ecology and environment took a turn for the worse. That may lead to the damage of fresh water resources. Fifth,the forest resources are sharply decreased by natural changes and human actions. 　What are the negative effects caused by global warming? This serious environmental problem g
