T says: Today we’ll talk about good table manners. In fact, good manners are basically as set of behaviours that people may reasonably expect. Group work :let the Ss work in groups, and talk about good manners or bad manners in the model society. bad manners: jump the queue, spit anywhere, leave around the dirty… good manners: wait politely, not cut in on others, talk softly … Step 2: Speaking and answer the questions. 1. Ask students Ask Ss to read Part A carefully and make sure that they all understand it. 1) What should the boy do when he crosses the road? 2) What is the girl doing? 3) What should we do in the library? 4) What are the man and the woman doing? 5) What is the man doing? 6) What did the boy do? 2.Write down the correct answer under each picture. 4.Read the manners loudly together Step 3: Dialogue Ask Ss to read Part B quickly and try to make up a new dialogue like this. Step 4. Discussion Work in pairs and discuss what we should and shouldn’t do in a public place. Step 5. Comic 1.Listen to the conversation between Hobo and Eddie，then answer: (1)Do you think Eddie really wants to teach Hobo? (2) What does Eddie teach Hobo? First, always share things with others. Second, don’t cut in on others. Always wait politely. (3)What does Eddie really want from Hobo? 2.Read after the tape. 3.Work in pairs, then choose someone to act it out Step 6 Language points 1.
