The re sultsshowed:the activitiesof severalprotective enzy es(SOD, CAT, PODandAPX) of Centipedegrassunder 0.6%~ 0.8% salt stress declinedgraduallywith the stress prolonged, while the activities of protective enzy es increased in 0.2%~ 0.4% salt stressof Cen tipedegrass andallthe treat ents of Zoysiagrass andManilagrass. MDA andRPP increased actually with the stress enhanced and pro longed, The increasing speed in Centipedegrasswas the highest and inManilagrasswasthe lowest. Activity of PAL increasedwith salt concentration increased in three turfgrasses, but under 0.8% salt stress, it increased in early phase of stress and decreasedwith the stress prolonged inCentipedegrass. The activity of protective enzy es and contentsof MDA andRPPwererelatedto the salt tolerance. It was considered that salt tolerance of Manilagrasswasthe highest and that of Centipedegrass the lowest.
