Product data sheet Telemetry Control Unit – TCU001 The TCU is the communications control centre for the logging system. Located between the inter-tool communications bus and the Wireline Uplink, it controls the collection of data from the tools below and packages it for transmission to the surface system. It receives commands from the surface system via t he fast downlink provides responses back to the surface as required. The TCU also houses the main downhole power supply providing power to the logging tools. As with all Hunter Well Science downhole products, internal temperature is recorded to non volatile memory to enable detailed temperature exposure records to be maintained.
