对表现好的，要记得用Well done!（做得好！）、Excellent!（好极了！）Great!(很棒！)对表现一般的，也可用Good!(好！) 来鼓励。对表现欠佳的，切不可加以训斥或冷嘲热讽，可以说It doesn’t matter. (没关系)、Make it easy.(别紧张)、Try it again.(再试一次)等这类鼓励性的话。否则，可能会挫伤学生回答的积极性。初中英语每个单元的第一个模块是Comic strip。这里有Eddie和Hobo之间一段简洁而有趣的对话。我通常都会请学生上台表演这段对话，鼓励他们发挥想象力并加上自己的语言及动作。在学生上台前，可以用英语来进行鼓掌欢迎。如Let’s welcome.(让我们欢迎)。而结束后，又可以这样进行表扬：They did a very good job. (他们做得非常好)、Let’s clap. （让我们鼓掌吧）。 对困难学生要多采用表扬性的评价用语，如Much better than before. (比以前好得多)Try your best.(尽你最大努力吧)You will do it better next time. (下次你将做得更好)教师要寻找这一类学生的闪光点，及时肯定他们的点滴进步，从而调动他们学习的积极性和主动性，找回学习的自信心。对一般的学生要采用激励性评价用语，既揭示不足又肯定他们的成功之处并指明努力的方向。如I’m sure you can.(我相信你可以) You can do it better, come on!
