Teaching Plan of Unit 1, Book 1 Growing Up Text A Writing for Myself Teaching Objectives: Students will be able to understand the author’s idea of growing up understand the structure of the text; master the key language points as well as the grammatical structures in text; conduct the theme-based reading, listening, speaking and writing activities of this unit. Time Allotment: Four periods (three for intensive reading and one for Exercises) Teaching Methodology: student-centered; audiolingual; translation; communicative; etc. Teaching Procedures: Pre-reading tasks (warm-ups) Listen to a song “When we grow up” by Michael Jackson and have students think of what growing-up means. What will you face, expect or enjoy when you grow up?
