Title: Lesson 117
Aims (教学目标): To master the new words, recite the text and act the scene.
Focus knot(教学重难点): Usages of forecast, tomorrow, instead
Tools(教具准备): A projector, some pictures,a record
Procedures(教学内容):
Duty report Revision
Duty report:
1) Students’ statement
2) Teacher’s comments or error correction.
Revisions
Recite L115, then ask the Ss to review the patterns in L116.
Presentation
Listening and catching words:(Twice)
The students are expected to listen to the tape carefully and try to utter all the words /phrases /sentences that they hear with the teacher’s questions about the pictures.
Listening and understanding :
The teacher plays the tape with the following points explained:
Tomorrow: Today is Wednesday. Tomorrow is going to be Thursday.
Future tense :
ask ss: what are you going to do tomorrow? (let ss make sentences)
Review: Turn on /off take off/put on pump up
Turn the television on =turn it on
Weather forecast: show students what a weather forecast is.
Eg. It’s going to rain in Chengdu.
It’s going to snow in the north tomorrow.
Listening and repetition:
Play the tape again and again for the students’ repetition in chorus, in group and individually respectively.
Recitation:
After enough repetitions, Ss can be encouraged to recite it with pictures shown.
Recitation is practiced without pictures shown.
Acting the scene:
Ss are invited in groups to the front to act it out.
III. Homework.
Ask the Ss to listen to the tape again and again until they can imitate the tape well and recite it.
