国际电化学会议报告PPT Electrochemical Sensors for Industrial Lubricant Analysis
Y. Yang, S. Tereshko and S. Danyluk The George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering Georgia Institute of Technology Electrochemical Sensors for Industrial Lubricant Analysis International Symposium on Frontiers of Electrochemical Science and Technology, August 12-15, 2009, Xian, China Agenda Introduction Oil analysis basics Electrochemical view vs. tribological view Electrochemical Sensors Parallel Plate Electrode (PPE) DI vs. salt water with EIS Virgin oil vs. used oil with EIS Summary Why Oil Lubricants? Industrial lubricants, being a life blood of an engine, is vital to engine. The functions of lubricants include Separation of moving parts and friction reduction, Wear prevention, Contaminant suspension, Neutralization of corrosive acids from the combustion process, Dissipation of heat Providing other performance improving features. Lubricants consist of a mineral or synthetic base oil and other specifically designed additives. Oil deterioration rate depends on the operating conditions, the fuel quality, the ambient conditions, and operating parameters.
