XiongJiazhong Tomb of the Chu state * * XiongJiazhong Tomb is located in Jingzhou City, Hubei Province , which is about 40 kilometers northwest of the Jingzhou district. It is at the junction of the cities of Jingmen and Yichang XiongJiazhong is so far known as the cemetery which has the largest scale , the highest specification, the most intact layout in Chinese highly aristocratic cemetery of the Chu state. It includes the main tomb, the accessary tomb,the chariot pits, the Peizang pits and the intrenchment. Exploration place Entrance of the main tomb structures above the main tomb This is a simple sketch of the tomb We can see clearely from this picture that there are two horse’s bodies besides the carriage  The archaeological excavations of XiongJiazhong tomb has been started from the 15th of August in 2006 , is now still continuing,after it finished a museum will be built in the local place for better protection and visit. The number of jade unearthed in XiongJianzhong tomb is the largest in the archaeological discoveries of China. Now Let us enjoy some of them !
