3 — Transship Overview EXceed Crossdock supports the following operations for handling transship containers: • Receiving Transship Containers • Verifying Transship Containers • Moving Transship Containers • Managing Transship Loads • Shipping Transship Containers • Managing Transship Records Receiving Transship Containers The transship process begins as soon as the transship container arrives at the distribution center. When a transship receipt is entered into the RF module, a transship file stores the transship orders populated from the transship receipt. Using RF is the simplest way to receiving transship containers into the facility, however, you also have the option of manually entering transship records through the Transship Maintenance window. See Managing Transship Records, later in this chapter, for details on manually entering transship records. To receive transship containers: 1 Start up the RF terminal and log into EXceed 4000.
