Department of Engineering, University of Changchun, Changchun 130022, China)Abstract: Experimental instrument investigated the laser welding of ultra-thin copper sheet. The rationalprocessing parameter was ascertained based on the analysis of experimental results. Temperature field of laser welding ultra-thin copper was simulated by finite analysis software-ANSYS. Model of laser welding heat source was founded. It is shown that the thermal field gradient of laser welding is larger, heat- affected zone is smaller than other welding method. The laser welding thermal field of ultra-thin copper sheet is oval, the isotherm is dense, the gradient of temperature is great at movement heater frontage; the isotherm is sparse, gradient of temperature is small at heater rear.
