Tools could share published domains. SPF working data can be split in to any number of domains, for example a separate domain for the IPD and Equipment datasheet activities. The separate domains segregate the data and force a publish and retrieve to pass data between the working domains. A shared working domain allows for multiple roles editing the same data but roles can control access to a more granular level as we shall see.
