Bauhaus was a college of art and design in Germany. Although Bauhaus was a school, the specific education of Bauhaus engender a profound implications in contemporary art education and promoted the development of the world of art and design. (Taylor Francis Group, 2010) This essay will focus on why Bauhaus would play an important role in modern art design and analysing how the Bauhaus students and teachers influence the development of modern art style with their works. There are several point will be included. Firstly, this essay willintroduce the works and development of a Bauhaus instructor László Moholy-Nagy within the period 1919 - 1930. In addition,introducingthree graphic designs of László Moholy-Nagy and analysing how his works reflected the modernist aesthetic and philosophical approaches in that period. Thereby, Bauhaus is an important part on modernist art history development.AfterLászló Moholy-Nagy became the Bauhaus teacher, he created many excellence designs within the influence of Bauhaus, and which is became an important development of Moholy-Nagy life. He was a painter and photographer and made phenomenal contributed into modernist art and has high influence in the constructivism. In 1923, Moholy-Nagy became an instructor and teaching the foundation course at the Bauhaus and his course involves painting, sculpture, photography, photo montages and creation of metal products.(ChilversGlaves,2009) Moholy-Nagy was a constructivism artist, and he believed that designer should integrated industrial design and technology into artistic creation. And as the result ofhe joined into Bauhaus, there was a tremendous impact on Bauhaus development and it made it closer to Bauhaus original idea which was about dominating the rational and practical technology into the art.
