In t he past 20 years since Deyang Cit y was established ,many endangered water birds have been rescued , but t he reso urces of water birds o n t he wetland in t his cit y are still unknow n . Fro m 1999 to 2002 ,3 special investigatio ns were made o n t he species and dist ributio n of wild water birds in wetland areas of t he w hole city. The investigatio n result s have show n t hat o n t he wetland in Deyang are fo und water birds including 9 o rders , 12 f amilies , 42 genera and 78 species.
