Unit Four Business communication Telephone Selling Our Objectives After the practice, you should know: Know how to make a phone call, how to answer a phone call and how to make a telephone selling. Know how to order tickets. Know how to reserve a room. Learn some words and expressions concerned about making a phone call, ordering tickets and reserving a room. Group Discussion Work in group of 6 and role-play the following situation. You are work for a company with some special product (you can choose your products). Your company is planning to establish relationships with some foreign customers. Your tasks are calling them to establish business relationships with them and introduce your product to them. And the customer would like to have a visit on your company. You should order flight tickets and reserve a room for them. Role Play So your tasks are: Task 1: Establish Relationships with Customer Introduce Yourself Task 2: Product Presentation Telephone Selling: Introduce your product to your customer by phone calls. Task 3: Ordering Tickets Task 4: Reserving a Room Role Play Requirements: Every group have 6 minutes to act out your play. So keep it simple. Every member of the groups should take some roles in your play. Every group should hand in a copy of your scripts before class. All groups should deliver their 6-minute prepared dialogues without reference to their scripts. Listening Watch a short video and mark the following statement ture(T) or false (F) according to the tape.
