They are they key people in accident prevention. Day to day supervisors manage the barriers, which control the hazards They can prevent incidents by setting high personal standards, providing clear work instructions, assigning competent people to do jobs, and motivating people to work safely. Supervisors are not just there to ensure production targets are met! This slide is intended to get into the topic of supervision and encourage the group to talk about who supervises and at a high level what supervision is about. By a supervisor we can mean anyone who is in charge of other people, from a foreman and a front line supervisor up to line managers.
