The picture shows three RAID sets that reside on 11 disks. Today a RAID set is distributed (virtualized) among a fixed number of disks as shown at the top. A set of disks can only have a single RAID level, so multiple RAID levels are created on exclusive disks. With the Enterprise implementation, each RAID set is distributed across the disks assigned to the disk pool. (Vraid1 is distributed across an even number of disks.) This means that all the spindles in the pool should, on average, carry the same workload.
