AbstractObjective: According measured the workload and satisfaction of nurses in the First Affiliated Hospital ICU of Shihezi University Medical College to analysis the factor of nurses workload and job satisfaction by themselves, provide a reference for resource management of nurses. Methods: Methods: Using observation, cluster sampling, cross-sectional survey study. Joint/link?url=CfyAjRcbJXeynJ5xyOH0Mm6h9arJneMqv-_1uo1-veHW5fycxjti6vSgd6JVJ3c6qtYN0VNR0EmrYyXpvz1s7q nursing activities score (NAS) and score of nurse satisfaction to evaluate their workload and satisfaction to themselves, to analysis the factor of nurses workload and job satisfaction to themselves.Results: A Nurses activity score are as follows: the score of nurses activity in day (10-18) and evening (18-2) shift in one week was not statistically significant (P0.05), in evening (18-2) and night (2-10) were statistically significant (P0.05). The workload of nurses in 10-12, 19-21, 0-2 and 7-9 were highly intensity, nurses were overworked. The top three effective working hour projects in all of 14 projects in the table were to write special care records, shift changes, the condition observed. The last three were nasal, oral care, bed sponge bath. B) The results of nurses own satisfaction: the average score of the job satisfaction of ICU nurses was 2.95±0.48. Interpersonal relationships, success and responsibility, management and hospital policies were the top three. Wages and subsidies, job schedule arrangements and conditions, the balance between family and work were the last three. The factor of different incomes, titles and ages in nurses job satisfaction were significant differences (P0.05). There was no significant difference in other factor of nurses’ job satisfaction. C) The correlation analysis between nurses activity and satisfaction: the balancing between family and work, shift arrangements and working conditions, wages and subsidies were positively correlated with NAS score
