中学英语中的一类特殊短语 ——既可从字面意思理解又可当习语理解的短语 中学英语课本中有一些短语既可按每个词的本意（即字面意思）结合起来理解和使用，又可当固定搭配（即习语）来理解和使用。它们的用法一般有较大差别。现归纳如下： 1.as (so) far as ①和……一样远 (字面意思) ②直到……;就……而言;尽…… (习 语) We didnt go as far as the others (did). 我们不如其他人走得那样远。 You can see as far as the coast.(SEFC 2A Lesson 3). 你可以一直看到海岸。 So far as I know, its free.(SEFC 2B Lesson 53). 就我所知,它是免费的。 We will help you as far as we can. 我们会尽力帮助你。 Here!
