Abstract:T rends, ontents and progress in the study of plant reprodu tive pheno logy in re ent yearsw ere briefly reviewed. A ording to literature, the study on plant reprodu tive phenology in re ent years has been hara terized by the shifts from the spe ies level to the ommunity level, from field observation to m anipu lation, from monotone exploration to synthesis. The ontents are mainly as:(1)phonologi al traits of som e spe ies;(2 ) omm unity-w ide pheno logy patterns;(3 ) phy logeneti onstraints on plant reprodu tive pheno logy;(4)pheno log i al plasti ity;(5)responses of plant reprodu tive pheno logy to limati variations;(6)relationship between plant reprodu tive pheno logy and availability of anmi al foods; (7)relationship bewt een plant reprodu tive phenology and allergy to a given po llen;and (8 )relationship between plant reprodu tive phenology and biologi al onservation, and vegetation m anagem en.t Manipulation and long-term observation w ould be extensively app lied in the future study. Studies w ith respe t to biodiversity onservation and restoration of degraded e osystem s would be progressively in reased.
