私立大學與社區之互動關係─ 生活品質與服務功能探究 田芳華* OSR-ASR200208 _________________ * 作者為中央研究院調查研究工作室助研究員 1 私立大學與社區之互動關係─生活品質與服務功能探究 中文摘要 本研究旨在探討大學和地方社區之間的互動關係。本文藉實證調查和訪談瞭 解中原、東海、輔仁、和逢甲四所大學師生及其地方居民對於大學社區生活品質 的認知、評價和期待。本研究發現：（1）大學的存在，對附近社區生活品質的 提昇具有正面貢獻，亦為促進地方繁榮的關鍵。（2 ）大學扮演資源供給者的角 色，社區依賴大學的程度高於大學依賴社區。（3）學校和社區互動下所產生的 交通、垃圾、和學生吵雜等問題是四所受訪大學的共通特性。（4 ）社區居民和 學校師生在學校資源對外開放項目上存有認知差距的現象。民眾偏向於校園操場 的空間利用，學校師生則著眼於推廣教育和藝文表演。（5 ）各校居民在資源的 需求呈現同中有異的情形。（6）大學的服務功能雖排在教學和研究之後，但各 校師生都贊成社區服務應該成為大學教育的一部份。 關鍵字：大學、社區、生活品質、服務功能 2 The Partnerships between Private Universities and Their Communities: Life Quality and Service This article explores the partnerships between private universities and their communities. Survey and intensive interview are used to investigate the perceptions of and expectations of faculty, students and local residents about their life quality and service provided by four private universities. The results show that:(1) These universities did improve the life quality of local communities. They contributed to the development of local economy as well. (2) Universities played the role of resource supplier. Local communities depends more on universities than vice versa. (3) All four communities face common problems of traffic jam, garbage treatment difficulty, and noise because of the existence of these universities. (4) Significant gap of cognition on opening campus utility to local communities existed between local residents and university members.
