上海牛津版初一年级写作课(How can we write about a person)的教学设计

教材分析
根据《英语课程标准》初中学生在“writing”的语言技能上应该
7B课本的前几个单元中有三个单元都涉及到了对人物的描述,但在具体的课堂教授过程中从未系统地就写作技巧进行学习。而本课综合并整合了这三个单元的内容及学生过去已有知识,以?”为中心话题,学习Warming-up: Look at some pictures.
This activity reviews the adjectives to describe a person
教师活动:Teacher shows some pictures of some famous stars and asks the students: ’Who do you like best? What do you think of them?’
学生活动:Students look at the pictures and answer the questions: ‘I like … best. He/She is beautiful/hardworking/helpful/tall…’
设计意图:以学生熟悉的明星激起学生学习的兴趣,通过对自己喜爱明星的描述复习修饰人物的形容词。
Pre-task
Step 1 Ask and answer: How much do you know about your favourite person?
S1: What does he/she look like?
S2: He/She is tall/short, old/young, strong/weak, beautiful, handsome, good-looking 厖
S1: What is he/she good at? / What is he/she interested in?

S2: He/She is friendly, kind, helpful, hard-working, clever, warmhearted(热心的), lovely ……
教师活动:Teacher says, ‘You all have your favourite person. He may be the star in the pictures, or may be someone around us. He can be a friend or one of our parents or relatives. How much do you know about him or her?’, then asks students to do the pair work.
学生活动:Students talk about their favorite persons with their partners.
设计意图:通过对话和提示,让学生知道可以从哪几方面来写人。
Step 2 Conclude: What can we write about a person?
1. appearance(外貌)
2. character (性格特征)
3. hobby, specialty(爱好,特长)
4. habit(生活习惯)
5. age, nationality, job and so on(年龄,国籍,工作及其他)
教师活动:Teacher instructs students to conclude.
学生活动:Students think and answer, then conclude the aspects we can write about a person by themselves.
设计意图:通过对前面对话内容的回忆,对写人作文的内容有个大致的构想,并加以总结。
