Furthermore, these solutions result in compromised mirror data currency on the Contingency Site as replication to that site does not occur on a real time basis with respect the Primary Site. In a traditional cascaded configuration, a synchronous copy image is created on the Hot Standby Site array using Continuous Access XP. From that copy image, a local copy is paired/created on the Hot Standby Site array using Business Copy XP. On a ongoing basis, the local Business Copy image does not represent a logically consistent image of its parent volume. In order to obtain such a consistent image, the local copy image must be ‘split’ from the parent image, creating a point-in-time image of the parent. That local copy image can then be copied asynchronously to the Contingency Site XP array using Continuous Access XP Extension (Async.) Because the Hot Standby Site local copy represe
