Methods Stromal and glandular cells in 10 samples of human endometrium w ere isolated by using enzymolysis, two series of filters and sedimentation. These two t ypes of cells w ere observed by a light microscopy and verified by immunocytochemical staining. Results The endometrial cell cul ture was successful in 9 of 10 endometrium samples. T he purit ies of stromal cells and glandular epithelial cells w ere 95% and 90% re spectively . Isolated endometrial gland and stromal cells were able to proliferate in v itro. Conclusion Endometrial gland and stro mal cells have been successfully isolated by using tw o series of filters and successfully cultured and passaged in v itro.
