Finally, I would like to express my appreciation to all the writers whose works have been referred to in this thesis. 摘 要 马丁·路德·金的“我有一个梦想”一直被认为是英语演讲中的经典之作。本文尝试从功能文体学的角度对该演讲进行分析。首先，本文分析了演讲的概念功能，讨论了词汇集、小句失衡等现象；接着分析了演讲的人际功能，通过词汇密度、归一性、情态意义、人称代词等方面的论述，论证了该演讲的人际意义有三个特点：语气风格偏向正式程度，争辩语气强，以及具有互动性；最后，本文用主位推进的理论分析了演讲的篇章功能。 关键词：功能文体学；概念功能；人际功能；篇章功能 Abstract I Have a Dream by Martin Luther King, Jr. has always been regarded as one of the most classic speeches in English. This thesis attempts to apply functional stylistics to analyze this famous speech. The thesis first analyzes the ideational meta-function of the speech by discussing lexical sets and clause deflection. Then the thesis investigates the interpersonal meta-function. Through the discussion of lexical density, polarity, modality and personal pronoun, three features of the interpersonal function of the speech are summarized: formalness, argumentativeness, and interactiveness. In the end, the thesis analyzes the textual meta-function of the speech from the aspect of thematic progression.
