VoIP equipment consists of a VoIP phone and a network infrastructure capable of supporting VoIP. Auxiliary VLANs provide the ability to apply QoS to voice traffic without affecting the flow of data from the client PC. To ensure high quality VoIP, implementation of QoS is required. High-availability networks must be created to avoid network congestion and overcome a lack of redundancy and poor engineering.
