He made manga leap out the narrow range of Children’s Book. He decided the working style of today’s manga artists. Studying Tezuka Osamu will surely provide a good reference to the developing Chinese ACG industry. Meanwhile, as the first men artist who truly treated women equally, his works contain some elements which are amazingly same as those women artists expressed in their works, summarized as female elements. The so called female elements are those elements referred to “Girls’ Interests”, concentrating on and dedicating to the mental and esthetic needs of women. They are easily neglected in the mainstream of the Tezuka’s manga study. This paper analyzes the female elements in the works of Tezuka Osamu, including the pursuit of ultimate beauty, the understanding between gender, and most important, the echo to the forever theme of Tezuka’s works, “the dignity of life”. On this basis, it also gives explain to Tezuka’s impact on the subsequent Shōjo manga, in terms of visual expression and story material,etc. At last, it tables some advices to the contemporary Chinese female cultural market through Tezuka’s marvelous contribution to the ACG industry.
