Double-click the Trados Tm file we will use as the project memory. From the Start menu, click “TagEditor” Click “Open” from the “File” menu. Be sure to choose “HTML Documents” from the “File Type”, and locate the HTML file. Select the HTML file to translate, then click Open. Position the cursor in the texts to be translated, click “Open/get”, translate the words in the yellow cells. Upon Finishing translating the segment, click “Set/Close” button. When you click “Save” or “Save Bilingual As”, TagEditor will save it as one TTX file. Do not change filename, or change folder, simply click ‘Save’ button in TagEditor. This TTX file is what you will need to return to us. You can also click “Save Target As” (the file will be saved as HTML) and view the localized HTML file in I.E.. Before translating the English HTML files, surely backup the whole source folder, then translate in the backup folder, keep filename and folder structure un-changed. TTX Files are just the files you will return to us. Tag protection Use the tag protection button – The lock icon on the standard toolbar - to adjust the settings for tag protection in your document. TagEditor offers various tag protection options to protect both external and internal tags in your document. By default, TagEditor protects all external and internal tags in your document. This prevents you from accidentally deleting or moving tags that may be vital to the integrity of the document you are translating. However, in certain situations you may wish to change the protection settings temporarily. To adjust the tag protection settings, click on the arrow beside the tag protection icon. The icon changes according to the setting you choose: Normally you do not need to move, add or delete the tags, so keep the tag protection features ON. Usually the tag texts are invisible.
