I. Introduction Family education refers to the process of interaction in the family between the parents of their childrens growth and development generated by the impact of education, but also the entire society in all sectors of education in the most important aspect. There are many differences between China and American such as cultural traditions, the concept awareness, lifestyle and social customs, the two countries in the family led to the education there are also many differences, Family education plays a very important role in children’s growing up. There is an saying: “parents is the first teacher of children” .The valuable life system is determined by family education. It’s true that parents love their children in the world. They regard children as their life and everything. They want to give all happy things to them in the world. However, parents should not to spoil their children. Therefore, there is a question on how to improve family education. American and Chinese people have different views on this question because of different family education. They have their own respective advantages and disadvantages. It should be possible for parents to learn from each others and get rid of disadvantages. The thesis makes a conclusion of differences between two family educations. It also provides some ways to help all the parents to improve family education. II. The background of two family educations 2.1 The social background of American family education American family education concepts are originated from American history and fundamental values.
